Following is some information regarding movers, utilities, changing your address, and a pre-closing checklist that may be useful to you as you prepare for your closing day. Please contact us if you have any other questions, or if we can be of assistance for your upcoming closing.
___ Schedule movers.
___ Schedule final walk-through with Realtor.
___ Verify that attorney has scheduled the closing.
___ Establish utility and other property services (gas, electric, phone, cable, security).
___ File change of address with the post office.
___ Secure property insurance policy that is compliant with lender requirements.
___ Review HUD/closing statement from attorney prior to closing if possible.
___ Secure certified funding for closing (wire or certified check depending on amount).
___ Verify that you have current identification (driver’s license, state id, or passport).
___ Attend final walk-through. Verify that any agreed upon repairs were completed and receipts exist if applicable.
Certain condo associations may also require the following:
___ Schedule move in/reserve elevator.
___ Submit move-in deposit/fees.
___ Submit move-in paperwork.
